Dennis Lawrence - Football
A former Trinidad and Tobago professional footballer and current first-team coach at
Coventry City. He was the manager of the Trinidad and Tobago national Men’s Football team from 2017 to 2019. Prior to his coaching career, he had a successful playing career in England, Wales, and Trinidad & Tobago. On November 16th, 2005, he scored the goal versus Bahrain that awarded qualification of his country to the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
As a member of the Trinidad and Tobago squad that competed at the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany, Mr. Lawrence was awarded the Chaconia Medal (Gold Class), the second highest state decoration of Trinidad and Tobago.
As a player he was captain of the national team, won the Caribbean Cup Most Valuable Player in 2001 and Player of the Season award 2003 /2004, as well as four League Cup and League Trophy titles with Wrexham. Dennis holds a UEFA Pro License, the highest coaching certification. He was the former head coach of the Trinidad and Tobago men's football team He is currently the assistant manager of EFL Championship club West Bromwich Albion.
