Candice Scott - Shot Put & Hammer Throw

She attended the University of Florida in Gainesville and graduated with a B.A in Recreation 2005. She was a member of the Florida Gators track and field team where she had a successful throwing career, where she became a five-time NCAA champion, three-time national champion in the indoor weight throw and two-time NCAA champion outdoors in the Hammer throw.

She holds University of Florida school in both the indoor weight throw and outdoor Hammer Throw. She was a six-time SEC Champion and a four-time outdoor champion and a ten-time All-American. Throughout her career at the university, Ms. Scott won many competitions and was voted MVP indoors and outdoors multiple times.

She represented Trinidad and Tobago from the junior to the senior levels credibly being the first female athlete from the English-speaking Caribbean to make the finals in both World Championships and Olympic Games in the Hammer Throw. She was voted Sportswoman of the Year on three occasions and currently holds the national record for the Hammer Throw.
She retired from sports in 2010 and is currently a dedicated and certified Aqua aerobics and Ai Chi instructor.
